GELRAD Leadership Team

GELRAD was formed in the year 2000, bringing together highly-skilled, certified Master Black Belts, Black Belts, Lean Experts and Change Management Professionals with practical Lean Six Sigma implementation experience. Our founders trained and coached members of Jack Welch's General Electric leadership team, and implemented Six Sigma in HR and IT at GE.

Elaine Kowansky, President and Chief Executive Officer

Elaine has over 25 years of senior business experience. A graduate of GE's Information Management Leadership Program, Elaine held multiple CIO positions and was one of the first GE leaders trained in Six Sigma by Mikel Harry in 1996. 


 For more than 2 years, Elaine was the Global Deployment Director of Six Sigma in IT for GE, and later led multiple initiatives to build GE Centres of Excellence and drive technology initiatives. As co-founder and CEO of GELRAD, Elaine has worked with CEOs and other senior business leaders to introduce and drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives. She has spoken at large conferences and annual leadership meetings on Lean Six Sigma, outsourcing, and customer loyalty. Elaine holds a BS in Information Systems Management from Boston University.

Dave Hauff, Director, GELRAD Europe and Master Black Belt

Dave has more than 25 years of business experience in engineering, information technology, and Lean Six Sigma. A graduate of GE's Edison Engineering Program, he worked in the US and Europe in the Nuclear Power and Lighting industries. As an IT manager with GE, Dave led many successful system implementations using the Design for Six Sigma methodology, and was responsible for driving Six Sigma quality in the European IT organisation.


As co-founder of GELRAD Europe, Dave has consulting experience in oil & gas, chemical manufacturing, call centres, telecommunications, financial transaction processing, credit management, procurement, and IT strategy working with multinational customers in several countries. He has successfully delivered Six Sigma deployment, training and project coaching at many levels within customer organisations, and delivered corporate education programmes for the London Business School and Duke University Corporate Education.

Ram Josyula, Vice President Innovation and Master Black Belt

Ram is a GE Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and an ASQ certified Black Belt.  He has over 20 years of industry experience in manufacturing, engineering, software, HR,  and finance. Since 1995, as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Master Black Belt, Quality Director  and a VP, Ram has been deploying Lean Six Sigma to realise business goals for companies  such as GE, Ford, Volvo, BP, BP Solar, Jaguar, Textron, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Merrill-Lynch and Tyco Industries.

 

An award winning coach and a mentor, Ram is committed that participants of his seminars grasp Lean Six Sigma fundamentals in an enjoyable, practical and useful way. In addition to training over 1000 Green Belts, Black Belts, Champions and Senior VPs, he has also coached and delivered over 500 successful Lean Sigma Projects in the US, Europe and Asia. He has authored training materials for Lean, Six Sigma and Design for Lean Sigma and conducted several Lean Kaizen workshops. Ram holds a Master in Technology Management from MIT and a B.S. from Indian Institute of Technology.

Pravir Pandya, Managing Partner, GELRAD India

Pravir has over 25 years of global experience in operations, management, consulting and entrepreneurship in multi-business, multi-function, culturally diverse environments in North America, Europe and Asia.  Prior to joining GELRAD, he led continuous improvement and process excellence for supply chain management at Raytheon and BP with rigorous application of Lean Six Sigma.  Earlier, he delivered functional leadership at various GE businesses and PricewaterhouseCoopers.  Pravir has expertise in Business Transformation, Process Improvement, Organisational Development, Outsourcing, Strategic Sourcing, Global Procurement and Supply Chain Management.


Pravir earned a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat University, a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Masters in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University.  Pravir received management training at GE Crotonville John F. Welch Leadership Development Center.  He has been trained in Lean Six Sigma at GE and Raytheon.
